Book exhibit

The SIEF conference will take place in Santiago de Compostela, and is likely to attract around 850 delegates, comprising scholars, students, and practitioners from the fields of ethnology, folklore studies, anthropology, and allied fields. The exhibits will be in the centre of the action, in the same space as the catering, which will guarantee a steady footfall throughout the conference.

Publishers and other exhibitors can choose one or more of the following options:

A) Participation with single display table (~1.6m x 0.9m or 1.8m x 0.8m) - full access for one staff member to panels & events* and a single display table.
Charge: €380

B) Participation with double display table (~3.2m x 0.9m or 3.6m x 0.8m) - full access to panels & events* for two staff members and a double display table.
Charge: €700

All stands will have access to the following:
Electricity supply (1 x socket)
Wifi Access for exhibitor staff
Tablecloth provided
Chairs (1 for single table; 2 for double table)
Poster boards (sizes to be confirmed) are available upon request for an additional charge.

C) Full page portrait advert in abstract book. Please email a 300dpi, full colour TIF, 210mm (h) x 148mm (w) with 3mm bleed to congress(at)siefhome.org by 31 January 2019 with subject line “Publisher ad in conference programme”. Please keep all live text and images 10mm away from the edge.

*All events does not include the conference dinner which has its own charge. If interested to book your staff into the conference dinner please email congress(at)siefhome.org.

To register for the conference including some exhibition space at SIEF2019, please email congress(at)siefhome.org and specify the type of participation required (number of staff and display tables required); we shall then contact you with instructions on how your staff members attending the event should register in our system.

Please note:

We do NOT offer unstaffed displays - experience shows that you do not get to really market your company and simply lose your stock. We would have to pay a student to mind your stand, so the cost would rise, and while very able, students are not trained in marketing and are not grounded in your company profile. Come along and meet your client base!

We do NOT offer insertion of ads/catalogues in delegate packs - experience shows that the clutter in a delegate bag is quickly junked, and rarely placed into a recycling bin. Ads printed in our conference book will not be thrown away, and so will have a longer shelf-life. This will also have environmental benefits.

Delivery times: Boxes can be delivered to the address above from 5 April 2019. Mon-Fri 09:00-21:00. No deliveries are possible on the weekend.

Setting up and breakdown of stalls

Please set up your tables on 15 April - Monday morning from 9am. Events on Sunday 14 April will be in a different venue and access to the main venue will not be possible on the Sunday.
Please try and stay until the end of the lunch on Wednesday 17 April before breaking down and clearing away your exhibit.
Due to the Easter holidays the main venue will be closed from 18-21 April. Access will only be possible again from Monday April 22. So do not forget anything in the main venue!

Collections post-conference:

If you will have books and boxes to be shipped back to you after the conference, you can organise to have these collected by a courier after the conference from the following address:
