Registration is open: early bird rates are available until 28 January 2019. The panel timetable will be posted online on 10th or 11th December.
All those wishing to attend the conference, regardless of role - whether presenting, convening, discussing, listening - must register online and in advance. This does not necessitate paying at that time; registrations are manually checked and an invoice sent to delegates including payment instructions. After having received the invoice, please pay within 30 days.
Full conference registration includes access to the opening ceremony, the keynotes, panel sessions, the film programme, workshops, book fair, tea/coffee during the morning and afternoon breaks, three lunches and the final party. All delegates will also be given a printed conference programme and a free paper copy of the special issue of Cultural Analysis on arrival.
On the final night there will be a dinner followed by a party at the same venue. The dinner is ticketed (to be bought when you register online for the conference), entitling you to one to two drinks (refreshments, wine or beer), appetizers, two main courses and dessert. (Vegetarian options will be available.) All delegates are welcome to attend the party which follows the dinner. There will be a band and a cash bar.
Please note that joining SIEF as a member (just €35) will offer you a considerable discount on the congress fee. You can read more about membership, and apply for membership on the SIEF membership page.
Registration rates for the full conference are:
- SIEF member (net annual income >€25,000): €235
- SIEF member (net annual income <€25,000): €190
- SIEF member (net annual income <€14,000): €132
- Non-member rate: €295
- Conference dinner: €32
The early-bird rates end at 23:00 CET on 28 January 2019.
It is preferable for delegates to attend the whole event, however there are day-rates (prices you can view within the registration form itself), which can be selected to a maximum of two days (if you wish to attend three days you should select full registration).
Please note that we have introduced a lower registration rate than normal this year to try and make the event more accessible to colleagues with very low income levels. To that end, we'd ask you to please be as honest as possible when selecting your registration category. Any questions, do email us.
Refund policy If you cancel your registration by notifying us by email more than three weeks in advance we will be able to refund your registration fee, less a small amount to cover our administrative and finance costs. Cancellations made within three weeks of the event will br ineligible for such a refund, due to costs already incurred. Refunds at that point will be discretionary.
Accommodation should be booked separately. See the accommodation page for details.
We will post information here shortly regarding the excursion options available.
