Accommodation recommendations
Due to the long-term crisis in the rental market in the Czech Republic, we kindly urge/recommend to all participants and guests at SIEF 2023 in Brno to consider not using “shared economy” accommodation services. According to AirDNA analytical website, recently more than 400 apartments in the city have been offered for Airbnb daily. Such a severe situation increases pressure on local non-owners and leads to further displacement of elders, single parent families and younger generations. Moreover, “traditional” accommodation that is to be found e.g. on Booking.com is at comparable prices.
